About

Travel Through Trauma (TTT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, California, dedicated to helping underserved young adults heal from trauma through a unique and holistic model that culminates in solo international travel. Our mission is to make healing accessible, empowering participants to rebuild confidence, resilience, and self-worth after experiences of abuse, neglect, poverty, or complex trauma.

Our four-month program includes fully subsidized services such as weekly therapy, life coaching, financial literacy training, self-defense, fitness and wellness support, cultural enrichment, and Spanish language instruction. The program concludes with a fully funded solo international trip, which acts as a powerful capstone experience for self-reflection, independence, and transformation.

We serve young adults ages 18 to 29 who lack access to traditional therapeutic and developmental resources. The model is rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural empowerment, and the belief that self-exploration and world exploration go hand in hand. Our approach is interdisciplinary, drawing from mental health, personal development, and global education.

Travel Through Trauma is supported by a growing network of donors, volunteers, and community sponsors. We actively engage in community partnerships, fundraising events, and outreach campaigns to expand our impact across Southern California and beyond.

Our vision is a world where young survivors of trauma are not only supported but empowered to thrive, explore, and lead.
