University Studies

Ms. Traylor-Sadberry received her B.A. degree in 1966 from the University of Oklahoma, her M.A. in 1973 from the Oklahoma City University, and her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law in 1981. She was admitted as an attorney in Alabama in 1989. She is admitted to the following courts:

•     Alabama Supreme Court
•     Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, Municipal, District, and Circuit Courts of Alabama
•     United States Bankruptcy Court for Alabama

Professional Career

After graduation from Law School, she began practicing law with the Law Office of Edward E. May & Associates in Birmingham, Alabama (October 1990 – March 1993). Since March 1993 she has been a solo practitioner focusing on Family Law, Domestic Relations, Probate and Criminal Law.

Previously, she provided pro bono legal services through the Volunteer Lawyer Program, provided through the Alabama State Bar for those individuals who are unable to retain private attorneys.

PBI lawyer for Legal Services of Metropolitan Birmingham, a nonprofit
agency that provides legal assistance for those individuals
who are unable to engage the services of a private attorney,
through a referral process.

Formerly served as Deputy State Attorney General for the
Alabama Department of Transportation, Right of Way Division,
Third Engineers in Birmingham for the purpose of acquiring,
through Condemnation, parcels of land, either partially or totally,
for improvement or construction of highways and roads in
Counties slated for public improvement Projects designated by the
State Department of Transportation.

Through the office of the State Attorney General, counsel for the
Department of Human Resources, Adult Protective Services Unit,
in Jefferson County for the purpose of protecting aged or disabled
adults from abuse, neglect, exploitation and degrading treatment.
Formerly served on the CJA panel in Federal Court as appointed
Attorney for indigent criminal defendants.
