About the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC)
The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) is a private regional network established in March 2023 to advance hydrogen energy development and investment across Vietnam and Southeast Asia through strategic partnerships and government collaboration. The Club serves as a platform connecting businesses, researchers, and policymakers toward one goal: the establishment of a sustainable hydrogen economy in the ASEAN region.
Through its network of over 1,000 contacts across finance, investment, heavy industry, clean energy, and policy sectors, VAHC facilitates knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and project development. Key achievements include facilitating Obayashi Corporation for the USD 10 million in NEDO funding for a low-emission hydrogen production plant in Tay Ninh Province and supporting PV Gas in implementing a 1MW hydrogen demonstration project in Long Hai, Ho Chi Minh City .
VAHC has established strategic partnerships with Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE) through a formal Memorandum of Understanding signed in July 2025, as well as with the Korea Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Industry Association (KHFCIA) and HX Group for regional hydrogen market development. Earlier, VAHC binded MoU with Japan Hydrogen Association (JH2A), Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC), Hydrogen Scotland, Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA), Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association of Singapore (HFCAS), and Taiwan Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Partnership (THFCP)
