We are based near Qualicum Beach, BC which has an airport and we are 40 minutes north of Nanaimo which has ferry, airport and 20 minute float plane connections to downtown Vancouver Harbour and Vancouver International Airport. Van service is available from Vancouver, Nanaimo and Comox Airports / Ferries to Qualicum Beach, Tofino and beyond. Nearby Parksville is only 2 hours north of Victoria, with train, plane, bus and van service connecting the communities.

Coastal Revelations is a registered company with biologist memberships in the Association of Professional Biologists of BC, the College of Applied Biology, the Parksville Chamber of Commerce / Tourism Information Center, and Interpretation Canada. Not only will you discover something new, you will revitalize your sense of wonder as you gain insight into the ways of the BC wilderness.
Patrick Walshe founded Coastal Revelations Ecotours after a lifelong love affair with nature. Born into a wilderness provincial park where his father was the head naturalist, Patrick pursued work as a forest and fisheries biologist before working as an environmental educator. His technical training as an ecosystem researcher, combined with his experience working as a canoe and kayak guide, camp counsellor and nature interpreter contribute to his ongoing desire to share nature’s amazing secrets. Patrick’s other training includes First Aid, Ground Search and Rescue, and tracking and survival skills from Tom Brown Jr.’s internationally famous Tracker School. He is a Registered Professional Biologist T/W in the province of British Columbia.
