VTS is a nonprofit with a specifc mission to provide transportation to blind and disabled veteran in Mecklenburg and surrounding areas. Blind/disabled veterans are those who have served this country, returned home and for sundry reasons have lost their driving privileges. These veterans are locked in their homes as though, "Prisoners of War"  right here at home.  This is unacceptable- they deserve so much more from us for the multiple freedoms we have and experience each day. Transportation is the least thng we can give them. VTS is focused on making a difference in their lives by helping them to rejoin society. Compassion without commitment is a wasted emotion.
