About

Martin Colton, Chairman of ‘The Victoria Hall Preforming Arts Association’ announced last week that it has launched a seed funding campaign using the crowdfunding platform indiegogo.com effective April 23, 2015. To help mark the 20th anniversary of the community run theatre we are attempting to raise (GBP) £30,000 within 60 days (ends June 23rd) for much needed full disabled access and new seating.

The current seats have been in use for 20 years and are beyond repair. While they've held up well, they are now nowhere near the standard or comfort that any patron would expect.

Should the full amount be raised the new seating plan will fully cater for wheelchair users with removable sections towards the front and rear of the auditorium, currently our patrons who use wheelchairs have to enter the auditorium via the external fire exit or use their own portable ramp.

In addition to the seating campaign we are also seeking a sponsor for a ramp to be installed at the rear of the auditorium

Donations can be made from as little as £1 right up to the full purchase of an individual seat for £250 which would be rewarded with a personalised name plaque. All donations (unless stated otherwise) will as be publicly thanked via our social network sites.

We want to be a venue that is accessible for all, but we need help.
