Visit Nunney provides tourist information for the pretty castle village of Nunney, near Frome, Bath and Warminster in Somerset, England. Dominated by its 14th century moated castle, Nunney has over 30 listed buildings. Its location make it the ideal base for a family holiday, daytrip or weekend break. Longleat House and Safari Park, Bath, Wells, Bristol, Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge, Shaftesbury's Golden Hill and many other popular attractions in South West England can be reached in under an hour's drive from Nunney. Tourists can travel to Longleat in just over 10 minutes, whereas the shops and World Heritage sites of Bath are less than 30 minutes away. The annual Nunney Street Market and Fayre is a village fair or village fete that takes place in the street around Nunney Castle. Live music, food and drink and over 120 stalls make Nunney Street Market and Fayre a firm favourite with thousands of visitors from across Somerset and Wiltshire. The 2011 Nunney Street Market and Fayre is the 36th annual fair and takes place on Saturday 6 August.

Accommodation near Longleat can be hard to find, but Nunney has The George at Nunney - an historic country inn with restaurant, bar and rooms facing Nunney Castle. Nunney's history goes back to Roman times. A Roman villa was discovered outside the village in the 19th century. Saxon, Norman, medieval and Georgian history is also evident in and around Nunney. Weavers' cottages, a village prison, the Grade I listed Nunney All Saints Church and fine Georgian and Queen Anne architecture have made Nunney a favourite with Sir Nikolaus Pevsner and other experts. Nunney also has a very active community life, with events such as Open Gardens Day, Nunney Rocks!, Nunney Street Market and Fayre, Flower Show, Acoustic Cafe and many other events taking place throughout the year.
