About

When then Governor Mel Carnahan wrote Michael E. Carter’s recommendation to Mizzou’s law school, he highly recommended Carter because of his family’s reputation and respect for “education and hard work.”

Carter, running for Missouri's Lieutenant Governor position for 2012, is now a Senior Lecturer for the University of Missouri, past Wentzville Judge and an attorney focusing in real estate & business.

In the past Carter has worked for UPS as a package driver, U.S. Senate, Missouri's Attorney General, and the Missouri Western District Court of Appeals.

He voted for Ross Perot in 1992, 1996 and Ron Paul in 2008.  He believes in pulling one's self up by the boot straps whenever possible, but understands that circumstances are often times beyond our control.
