Wampit.co.uk is a Free internet search engine/business directory launched in response to the current economic climate. Wampit has taken the ethos from social marketing sites such a myspace & facebook, where users can create their own profiles and upload rich content such as images & video completely free of charge and bought it into a business model.
We have been likened to a 'YouTube' for business and UK businesses can create their own Free business advert using text, photos, video, email links, google maps and even Twitter feeds. Each advert is given its own unique "landing page" and this is submitted to search engines also for free.
It is a completely 'self serve' model with no intervention at any stage from sales people, call centres etc. The site is very simple to use and navigate around and there is no superfluous information or third party advertising.
Wampit.co.uk is funded through the take up of some low cost optional extras that are available to businesses to enhance their free listings even further such as additional images, pdf uploads, URL links etc.
