Founded by Phil and Emily Weiss, the auction house specializes in sports memorabilia, rare books, signed first editions, comics, comic art, stamps, coins, toys, trains, fine art, autographs, and complete estate collections. Phil Weiss is a longtime appraiser on the PBS series Antiques Roadshow and has contributed articles on collectibles to many major trade publications.
Weiss Auctions holds multiple specialty auctions each year, each focused on a specific category of collecting. Notable past sales include a $1.2 million U.S. postage stamp, a Honus Wagner T-206 card for $800,000, and a $500,000 19th century cigar store figure.
