The Whistle Stop Gallery’s purpose isn’t to make a lot of money, or become a household name. Our purpose is to help artists succeed. Too often, commercial art galleries and art dealers become attached to profits and recognition, and the artist becomes the bearer of the burdens. We’d like to change that, and hopefully become a model for the art galleries, art dealers, and other businesses of the world. We’d like to show the world that profits aren’t more important than people. After all, an art gallery without the artists is just an empty shell.
