William Knudson was born in Des Moines, Iowa and raised a few miles south of the city. William Knudson enjoyed his early years growing up in small town mid-America. With strong Midwestern roots, a high school degree and hopes of a rewarding vocation ahead, his next academic steps did not take him far from his own back yard. Dr. William Knudson served his undergraduate residency work at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa from August 1987 until May 1991.

Dr. William Knudson is a graduate of the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. The College was established in 1912 and later became a member of the Rosalind Franklin University family in 2001. The College is accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. During his tenure there, Dr. William Knudson received the Durlacher Honor Society scholarship. This scholarship is specifically awarded to those within podiatric medicine and its related health fields for the advancement of the profession. Dr. William Knudson also received the Philip Brachman Honor Scholarship (1994-1995). Dr. William Knudson graduated Cum Laude with both a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine on May 12, 1995.

After graduation, Dr. William Knudson accepted a position at Hillcrest Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Beginning in 1996, Dr. William Knudson was appointed Chief Resident, participating in a 24-month program in podiatric medicine and surgery. This opportunity offered Dr. William Knudson extensive training in forefoot, rear foot, ankle, and lower leg reconstruction. Dr. William Knudson achieved certification in foot and ankle arthroscopy, advanced wound care of the lower extremity and Internal fixation in foot and ankle surgery.

Over the next thirteen years Dr. William Knudson provided care in three well respected practices in Iowa. Dr. William Knudson’s first private practice care was provided in 1997 and 1998 through Northwest Foot and Ankle Associates in Sioux City, Iowa. Dr. William Knudson’s next stop relocated him to Waterloo, Iowa where from 1998 through 2006 he cared for patients at Cedar Valley Podiatry. From 2006 through 2009 Dr. William Knudson practiced at Iowa Foot and Ankle Clinic in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

While practicing at Iowa Foot and Ankle Clinic, Dr. William Knudson was appointed as Department Chair, Podiatry, at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Additionally, Dr. William Knudson served as a Faculty member at the Cedar Rapids Medical Education Foundation. Dr. William Knudson also served as a Panel physician at the Wound Healing Center located at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Dr. William Knudson accreditations include certification as a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. William Knudson is also appointed as a Fellow of the American Collage of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. William Knudson currently resides in Zanesville, Ohio.
