About

XXBC (“twenty b.c.”) is a vintage-inspired streetwear brand designed to promote creativity and originality.

We - Alex Lee and Will Thompson - created XXBC in Boston in late 2011, but currently we handle business on the mean streets of New York City. We got together with the notion that we could merge art and history through clothing. And to use history to make something contemporary that will, in turn, influence the future. Okay, that sounds like a lot, but at the end of the day we’re just two young guns who like to make cool clothing.

We work to make pieces that capture a very specific XXBC ideal — that we’ve got to be ourselves if we want to live our lives fully. We can’t let others influence how we present ourselves or how we express our personalities. And, particularly, when it comes to style, we believe that innovation, originality, and personal creativity rule.

The pieces we create embody a quality of workmanship and exclusivity of individual creativity that one would usually find in the galleries and exhibition halls of Europe. Each garment is an exclusive, one-off work that will never be recreated. When pricing our pieces we take into account the rarity of the fabric used, as well as the rarity of the piece as a whole. Our garments are works of art, and we believe that when wearing them one should feel proud to know that he or she is sporting something that little to no others will ever own.

XXBC is also about pushing boundaries, taking a few risks, and doing things that no one has ever done. It’s more than just a clothing brand. Behind XXBC is a philosophy that we live by, “When in Rome, Do You.™” (w.i.r.d.y). We are always working to recognize and draw attention to those who believe that simply following the norm is NOT wassup. We strive to be original and unique, and we’re not alone. Whether it’s in New York, Boston, or Rome, the w.i.r.d.y. ideal is out there. We’re just here to spread it along.

Come fuck with us.
