Yorkshire Tour Company launched to promote the hidden gems of Yorkshire to tourists

A new luxury tour company has recently been launched to showcase the hidden gems of North Yorkshire to foreign tourists.  They often get to see only ‘standard’ attractions such as Stratford and London, then miss out this superb northern county in their dash to the Lake District and Edinburgh.

The Yorkshire Tour Company is offering tailored luxury tours that will turn this beautiful part of the world into the new “must do” tourist destination.

Although York, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors have attracted foreign tourists for many years, there are vast areas of the county such as the beautiful area around Ripon which are relatively less visited. The Yorkshire Tour Company is promoting these together with the better-known parts of the county.

The county has seen a staggering 22 percent increase in the number of overnight holiday visitors compared to a UK average of just 12 percent.

There is an astonishing amount to see in Yorkshire – the heritage, castles, ruined abbeys, stately homes, not to mention the fabulous scenery in two National Parks and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – you could spend weeks here and not see more than a fraction of it.

Add to that the quality of the dining – Yorkshire can boast no less than five Michelin-starred restaurants –and superb luxurious country house hotels – and it’s a winner.

The tours don’t compromise on quality – first class accommodation and fine dining is guaranteed – but they offer flexible transport options. Visitors can choose to drive themselves or be chauffeured around or even the ultimate luxury, helicopters – with a tour guide as well if wanted.
