About

ZionSphere is a virtual reality faith experience platform born not from a business plan, but from obedience. Founded by Starkey Roberson — a B2B technology builder with years of experience developing software at the intersection of business and faith — ZionSphere exists because of a specific directive received from the Holy Spirit: build virtual reality experiences around biblical stories.

Headquartered in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, ZionSphere is launching across four platforms simultaneously in Summer 2026 — VR, Web, iOS, and Android — making immersive Scripture engagement accessible to youth and faith communities regardless of the device they own. The platform's inaugural experience, Jonah & The Whale, places users inside one of Scripture's most powerful stories not as observers, but as active participants. Users make choices, face consequences, and encounter the Word of God in a way no printed page or passive sermon has ever made possible.

ZionSphere is built on a core conviction: that this generation — the most digitally native and spiritually searching generation in history — has not abandoned a hunger for God. They've abandoned formats that feel disconnected from the world they actually inhabit. ZionSphere is an answer to that disconnect. It meets young people where they are, in the immersive digital environments they already inhabit, and brings them face to face with the stories of Scripture.

The platform features 13+ biblical story experiences built from the ground up, age-differentiated content tracks for ages 6–10 and 11–17, gamified spiritual milestones, group-play features designed for youth ministry settings, and companion discussion guides for pastors and youth leaders. ZionSphere is not a supplement to church — it's a tool built for the church, designed to deepen engagement, spark conversation, and make faith formation unforgettable.

ZionSphere is launching its Founding Church Partner program in Summer 2026, inviting a select cohort of churches and youth organizations to be among the first to bring the platform to their congregations. Partnership tiers are designed to serve ministries of all sizes, from small rural congregations to large multi-site churches.

For communities that cannot afford access, ZionSphere operates the Open Doors Program — a charitable initiative that provides fully sponsored platform access to qualifying youth groups from low-income, rural, and urban underserved communities. The Open Doors Program operates under the fiscal sponsorship of the Christian Ministry Alliance, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, making all donations fully tax-deductible. Every sponsored seat is funded by individual donors, businesses, and foundations who believe every young person deserves to step inside God's Word — regardless of their church's budget.

ZionSphere represents a first-of-its-kind investment in faith-based immersive technology — a Black-founded, mission-driven company proving that deep-tech innovation doesn't require a coastal zip code, and that the most important stories ever told deserve the most powerful medium ever built to tell them.
