About

ABLD.app is a digital accessibility and civil rights communication platform designed to help individuals clearly communicate accommodation requests under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

The platform introduces the concept of the Digital Blue Envelope Profile, expanding on traditional Blue Envelope programs originally created to assist communication between individuals with disabilities and law enforcement. ABLD.app extends this concept into a modern digital interface that can be used in everyday public interactions.

Using NFC taps or QR code scans, individuals can present structured accommodation requests that may include legally referenced language, communication guidance, and time-stamped documentation. The goal is to help structure the ADA “interactive process,” making it easier for both individuals and businesses to clearly understand accommodation needs and respond appropriately.

ABLD.app is designed to reduce confusion and friction in disability accommodation conversations by presenting requests in a clear, consistent format. By generating written and multimedia records at the time a request is made, the platform also creates transparent documentation intended to support constructive communication between individuals and service providers.

The platform was created by inventor Jason Krumrai, who previously developed the GRYP Keychain, a small silicone assistive device designed to allow users to interact with everyday surfaces while minimizing direct contact. Originally developed to address contamination concerns associated with neurodivergence, the device has been featured on the Hallmark Channel and sold in dozens of countries.

ABLD.app applies the same philosophy of simple design solving complex barriers, focusing on accessibility, clarity, and practical tools that help individuals participate more easily in public life.
