About |
Affordable Community Resources Inc. (ACR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through nutrition, education, and community empowerment. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, ACR partners with local schools and community agencies across DeKalb, Gwinnett, Clayton, and Fulton counties to provide high-quality, USDA-funded meals and enrichment programs that promote holistic child development.
Through the USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), ACR ensures that every student has access to healthy suppers and snacks prepared according to federal meal standards. Each day, hundreds of Georgia students benefit from ACR’s commitment to curbing food insecurity and supporting afterschool education.
In addition to meal service, ACR’s enrichment programs integrate academic tutoring, performing arts, and social-emotional learning to help students develop confidence, creativity, and leadership skills. The organization partners directly with teachers, principals, and community leaders to design programs that meet each school’s unique needs.
Founded by Subrinia Bennett, ACR was created to bridge the gap between education and nutrition while fostering environments where children can learn, express themselves, and thrive. Since its inception, the organization has served tens of thousands of meals and continues to expand its reach across Georgia.
Affordable Community Resources is proud to collaborate with schools, local businesses, and donors who share a vision of strong, healthy, and inspired communities. Together, ACR and its partners are shaping a brighter future—one child, one meal, and one opportunity at a time.
Mission Statement: To nourish the body and mind by providing free meals, educational support, and creative enrichment opportunities to children and families in underserved communities.
