Celebrating its 25th year of service, Angel Flight Northeast (AFNE) is a nonprofit organization that coordinates free flights for children and adults in need of critical medical care outside of their geographic area. Since it's founding I 1996, AFNE has scheduled flights for more than 103,000 patient/passengers who have flown more than 14 million miles. More than 30% of AFNE’s patients are children suffering from life-threatening cancer, severe burns, or crippling diseases.  AFNE flies patients for as long and as often as they need assistance to travel for specialized medical care, with no limit on the number of flights provided.  AFNE also transports free of charge blood and organs for patients awaiting organ transplants.
