When you email ‘customer service’ you’re talking with me. When you post a comment on the Ars Harmonia Facebook page, you are talking to me. Nobody else. The 3 1/2″ full range driver I use is hand assembled and imported, but the cabinet lumber, packing materials, and everything else involved are all sourced and purchased within the USA. Ars Harmonia speakers aren’t made on an assembly line, they’re individually handcrafted at my assembly room table with passion and pride while listening to music on a newly finished pair of Desmond speakers. Most evenings I’m still there working, but sometimes I just kick back with a favorite beverage and let the music carry me away.
When you purchase speakers at Ars Harmonia you’re supporting a small independent artist/craftsman and products made in the USA. Your purchase is the end result of researching, deliberating, designing, measuring, budgeting, sourcing, sweating, cussing, overcoming, rejoicing, and devising a method to the madness. You are buying a speaker as unique as the music you listen to and the artists who perform it.
Each handmade speaker has a unique wood grain pattern. No two are alike. Also there will be subtle differences in wood color, tone and shade between each speaker. Each pair of speakers are selected and matched to compliment each other as much as possible. But again, no two speakers will look exactly alike.
We are committed to producing the highest quality handmade speakers possible. In doing so, we do not use CNC routers, lasers, robots or any other automated manufacturing process. Making a speaker properly takes time. There are no shortcuts. For those of you who recognize the value in our process… your patience will be richly rewarded.

“Don’t hesitate to get a pair… you won’t be disappointed!”
I was looking for a great sounding pair of speakers that wouldn’t cost me thousands of dollars to replace the old pair I had been listening to for the past twenty years. A friend suggested I check out Ars Harmonia’s Desmond speakers. I went to their website, read every page but I was still skeptical. However I found out Bruce, the guy who builds the speakers, is a really good guy. After several emails and a couple phone conversations with Bruce I ordered a pair of Desmond speakers. The first thing you notice immediately when you take them out of the box is they are built out of solid wood and the craftsmanship is second to none. Then you’re struck by just how good they look. The full wood grain is beautiful and the finish must take hours to rub out. But the best part is my Desmond speakers sound even better than they look! The soundstage is wide and deep. The sound is detailed and accurate. I was a little concerned about there being enough low end without adding a sub, but that turned out to be a non-issue for me. The speakers produce a very pleasant, well-balanced low end to my music. Don’t know how they do it, but it’s there and I like it. Bottom line, my Desmond’s are remarkable speakers that sound amazing, are beautiful to look at and built to a standard rarely found these days.
