On Saturday, May 7th, 2011, Baroque Productions will be presenting the “2nd Annual Moonlight River Gala”. This year the event will be held at the exquisite Captains Quarters Yacht Club on River Road in Metro Louisville. During the annual event Mayor Greg Fischer and Baroque Productions will be presenting the “Distinguished Citizen Award” to a notable recipient along with the “Key to the City”.
Without a doubt, the “Moonlight River Gala” is one of the most upscale events held on the 1st Saturday in May (Derby Day). This year we are please to announce the official collaboration between Baroque Productions and Derby City Fashion. The Gala will also serve as the official” After-Party” for Derby City Fashion Week.
Both organizations are working in conjunction to offer the city of Louisville;
• Fine Arts
• Impeccable Entertainment
• Educational Seminars on Beauty, Fashion and Personal Wellness
• Daily Fashion Review Showcasing the latest Fashions and Local Models
The Captains Quarters Yacht Club in Metro Louisville is the designated home for this grand after hour’s affair. Last year the event received notable reviews from the general attendees, local media and the celebrity clientele in attendance.
The evening encompasses a montage of events starting with an unforgettable “Red-Carpet” greeting for the guest and media. The Gala offers a total of three venues in one. The Jazz café premieres live Jazz and Neo Soul performances throughout the evening. Two celebrity guest DJ’s keep the music going all night in the main Gala Concourse.
At last, experience Latin/Cuban music, dancing and complimentary cigars in the Havana Room located outside on the terrace over looking the beautiful Ohio River. As an added bonus, all guests can enjoy the “Baroque Art Gallery”. The gallery features artistic creations presented by local and regional artist. The art work is for sale during the event. A portion of the proceeds received are donated to two selected non-for- profit organizations here in Metro Louisville.
“The Moonlight River Gala” is truly… where the River meets the Moon.
