Beauty-in-a-Purse

Volunteers for Beauty-in-a-Purse seek donations for gently used or new purses, cosmetics, literature, and water. The filled purses are distributed to shelters and incarceration facilities across the United States.  For the shelters, we schedule a date to bring the filled purses, to help serve meals, and/or to tell an uplifting message. For the facilities, volunteers drop off enough filled purses so that every woman, scheduled to leave incarceration during the distribution month, will receive a filled purse to welcome her back into society.
