Birding Field Guides is a small company that specializes in the development of nature-related apps and other products for digital devices. Our main focus is the birding market but we also develop other nature-related field guides and ecotourism-related products.
The company was started in 2012 by Michael Mullin, Randall Ortega Chaves, and Patrick O'Donnell. Each founding member is passionate about birdwatching and conservation. Michael is a computer programmer who resides in Panama, and both Randall and Patrick guide birdwatchers who visit Costa Rica.
Randall is also an accomplished professional photographer who specializes on birds and other natural themes, and Patrick is a writer and bird sound recordist.
