Blueprint Earth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit environmental scientific research group dedicated to cataloging small portions of Earth’s environments in order to generate big-picture knowledge. Blueprint Earth was founded in 2013 by husband and wife team Jess and Carlos Peláez, and the Mission Mojave project began in 2014 and continues today. To date, over 50 student volunteer researchers have performed hands-on environmental research in California’s Mojave Desert alongside geologists, biologists, atmospheric scientists, hydrologists, and engineers.
