The Providence Telephone Company, an independent phone company based in Rhode Island today announced the debut of its free national telephone dating chatline. http://www.thefreechatline.com
“Open to everyone, at 712-432-5700 the chatline will serve an audience of people looking to make friends for free,” said Bob Blanchard, president of Providence Telephone.
“According to a recent survey conducted in co-ordination with Constant Contact®  of 804 adults, over 28% said they would call a dateline if it were free,” according to Blanchard
The chatline will be augmented with 15-second audio commercials to cover the cost of the chat line.
How it works: Callers will dial into the chatline and record a brief message about themselves. Then they will hear the messages of everyone currently on line. Then they will “pick and choose” who to talk to. Callers can block other callers they do not want to talk with.
