About

After almost ten years’ experience in the aerial photography business, Brett Price Photography began as an independent business two years’ ago.  He has been taking photos for over 20 years, His work as an aerial photographer has taken him to all corners of Australia, allowing him to clock up many thousands of kilometres in travel and thousands of hours in the air.
Cessna 172s are primarily used for the majority of photos as they lend themselves to the practice being able to cover large distances quickly, but also allowing for manoeuvrability when close to the location. A vital aspect of the Cessna 172 that endears itself to the practice is their top mounted wingspan (high-wing fixed-wing).
Shooting at times for more than eight hours a day over such vast distances has necessitated a keen understanding of navigation and the ability to direct pilots to enable the best possible aspect to get that sought after shot. Helicopters are sometimes utilized in certain airspaces or if the job requires, such as inner city aerial photography.
Brett spends time speaking to the traffic control in the relevant tower prior to each shoot, making sure that they have a window for him to conduct aerial photography in their airspace. The tower will often give a time slot to work in, which ensures that there is no hold up when airborne.
