An annual literary conference that brings together African American writers and book clubs and takes place two days before Essence Music Festival. The conference offers author presentations, panel discussions, an award's ceremony honoring publishing industry professionals. The conference also has a youth component where we give out scholarship money to local high school students in New Orleans.
