on Bucklin has over 30 years in the construction industry. He started constructing fabric covered buildings 10 years ago and built over 100 units. Six years ago he started to design his own building and worked with specialists,several national known grain handling equipment companies, grain elevator managers, and an engineering firm to design Bucklin Buildings.


Don Bucklin started building homes for HUD projects around the country 30 years ago. Don move unto doing a siding business where he broke company records installing steel siding with over 5 million in annual sales after 10 years of building homes. Don Bucklin was rewarded for his success doing siding by getting expanded territories. Don grew his siding business with midwestern work ethics and hiring midwest workers. Don was asked to move back home to take care of a family business and handle family issues after 10 years working on the West Coast. He then started to build for several regional companies in steel and fabric buildings out of his office in Sisseston, South Dakota. His desires to have a superior product led him to design a better building with several large known suppliers, engineers and grain people. Don felt he had to have a better building than that was currently on the market. His plan came to fruition in 2007 and Bucklin Buildings was formed. Don now has crews totaling over 50 people from three states, building a complete building package with capacities for commodity storage reaching 2 million bushels and beyond.

We have buildings erected in three states today and bids to companies for future buildings in over seven states. Our building style emphasis' a strong foundation with the best care in foundations and side wall construction. Bucklin Buildings under the direction of Don Bucklin started his own fabric manufacturing plant in Webster, South Dakota  using the best fabric on the market for Intertape Systems using NovaSheild II fabric,  Don has a steel truss plant in Watertown, South Dakota that the trusses are engineered to meet snow loads, wind loads, and conveyor carrying capacities to meet the growing needs of the ag market. Don has his construction company based in Sisseston, South Dakota to have a complete building package for elevators and farmers. Don has added a financing arm to Bucklin Buildings to finance structures for customers this year.

Bucklin Buildings has the WorkHorse in storage complex facilities. Bucklin Buildings pride itself in custom design of their buildings to help the elevators become the most efficient they can be.
