BUKYSON GROUP ATLANTIC FAST FERRY LIMITED
Founded by maritime expert Yinka Olaipe and supported by a team of specialists, Atlantic Fast Ferry plans to operate modern, high-speed vessels along key West African routes, starting with Lagos–Tema and expanding to ports like Abidjan.
The daytime service will offer multiple classes—first, economy, and tourist—and transport vehicles and freight via RORO decks to facilitate cross-border trade. Vessels such as MV Pilot Glory are designed for safety, speed, and efficiency. Ticket prices are projected from around $120, with amenities like WiFi, onboard catering, and entertainment to attract traders, tourists, students, and officials.
West Africa’s coastal infrastructure faces challenges: the Lagos–Accra route (290 miles) takes about 30 hours by road due to poor roads, checkpoints, security, and delays, limiting trade and mobility. Air freight, while faster, is costly, leaving a gap for reliable, affordable maritime alternatives.
This presents a significant market opportunity, regional trade, tourism, and education generate hundreds of millions annually; yet the absence of dependable ferry services restricts growth.
Partnering with FasterCapital’s Equitypilot program, Atlantic Fast Ferry aims to accelerate vessel procurement, obtain permits, and launch the Lagos–Tema ferry within 12 months, leveraging funding, mentorship, and investor access.
