Tickex.com is a search engine for tickets to live events. Operating in a 'vertical', we are a specialised search engine geared to best find and present information from our specific sector. Searches like Yahoo! and Google are immensely powerful 'horizontal' search engines that look at literally everything on the internet, and whilst this is great for finding general information it constrains the degree of detail and presentation style of results that can be given on a particular subject.
This results in an opportunity for 'vertical search' to deliver value for consumers by better locating and presenting specific information.
Our goal is to have 'every ticket in the world' to live events in our database, and the most user friendly search and sorting tools for the consumer to find the best deal on the ticket they want. With this combination, we aim to become the preferred portal through which people first go to find tickets to live events.
