Capital Hoedown “Ottawa’s Biggest Summer Party” was one of North-Americas’ Largest Country Music Festivals that operated in 2010 and 2011. The festival was founded by concert promoter Denis Benoit.

In its inaugural year, Capital Hoedown took place from August 5th – 7th at the Rideau Carleton Entertainment Centre in Ottawa, ON. The festival attracted over 20,000 fans with performances by Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Dwight Yoakam, Jo Dee Messina, Lorrie Morgan, Randy Houser, Emerson Drive, Tara Oram, Bucky Covington, The Higgins, Jason Roos and Jetty Road.

In its second year, Capital Hoedown took place from August 11th – 13th at Lebreton Flats Park in Ottawa, ON. The festival changed locations to accommodate larger audiences. The festival attracted over 40,000 fans and featured the highest rated entertainment lineup across all Country Music Festivals in North-America; including, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, Billy Currington, Easton Corbin, Justin Moore, Jason Blaine, Doc Walker, Tara Oram, Mackenzie Porter, The Keats and Hoedown Showdown winners Wyatt.
