About

ChargePapa is a hardware brand producing DC fast charging adapters and Level 2 home wallboxes for everyday EV owners. Products are engineered to complete the active protocol handshake that separates functional DC adapters from the passive units that fail at fast chargers.

THE PROTOCOL PROBLEM

Most EV adapter failures on DC fast chargers trace to one cause: passive adapters cannot complete the CAN bus or PLC (Power Line Communication) handshake required by modern DCFC networks. ChargePapa's DC-Link series uses active electronics to complete this exchange — the same method used in OEM adapters from major automakers.

CONNECTOR STANDARDS COVERED

NACS (SAE J3400): the Tesla Supercharger connector, now the North American standard adopted by Ford, GM, and Rivian
CCS1 (SAE J1772 / Combined Charging System): North American AC and DC combined standard
CCS2 (IEC 62196-3): European DC fast charging standard
GB/T (GB/T 20234.3): Chinese national standard used in BYD Atto 3, Seal, and Han
Type 1 / Type 2: AC connectors for Level 1 and Level 2 home setups
