About

Chaye Alexander is an Experience Curator, author, creative visionary, and creator of the Sophisti-Soul lifestyle. Through music, the written word, Chayz Lounge, and Chayz Lounge Radio, she designs real and imagined spaces where people are invited to slow down, feel something true, and leave changed.

She is the founder and owner of Chayz Lounge, an intimate boutique listening room in West Columbia, South Carolina, and founder of Chayz Lounge Radio, a 24/7 global streaming station founded in 2009, delivering smooth jazz and soulful sophistication to over 8 million listeners worldwide.

A Brooklyn native, Chaye has spent nearly two decades building a world where atmosphere is intentional, story lives in every room, and the soul is always welcome. The Sophisti-Soul philosophy: Curated Moments. Soulful Sounds. Elevated Experiences -- lives in every detail of everything she creates.

As an author, Chaye writes from the intersection of truth, experience, and reflection. Her work spans practical insight, literary fiction, and personal narrative, each title is an extension of the world she curates. Her debut book, Earn The Return: A Musician's Guide to Getting Gigs & Being Invited Back, draws from her years in music, blending real-life experiences with lessons in respect, professionalism, and preparation. Forthcoming titles include The Woman in Apartment 3B and Chayeology: Reflections on Life, Love, and Becoming.

Reflections in the Rhythm of Life is her debut spoken jazz album, a journey where poetry meets groove and narrative unfolds through sound. Layered over smooth jazz textures and soulful undertones, each composition moves with intention, flowing as a continuous experience created for immersive listening from beginning to end.

Her influence extends well beyond the lounge. As Musical Director for the Richland County Parks and Recreation Foundation's Jazz Fest, she curates large-scale celebrations of jazz and soul. She serves on the board of the South Carolina Jazz Foundation and is the visionary behind West Columbia's Meeting Street Music Fest, fostering a vibrant and enduring music community.

Through her words, her voice, and the atmospheres she curates, Chaye Alexander designs experiences that resonate, inspire, and connect.
