Clay Piggy is a game based resource to teach personal finance. It is based on national standards in personal financial literacy created by Jump$tart Coalition and Texas standards set by TEKS. It is a fun and engaging virtual world designed from grounds up for elementary school children. It allows the children to live in this virtual world to experience and learn the basic principles of personal financial capability which includes earning, spending, saving, investing and giving.
It is a hands-off tool that can be used by teachers and parents to teach children the important concepts of personal financial capability. It includes lesson plans and integrated assessment tools so teachers and parents and monitor the student's progress.
Over 40,000 students have signed up to use the program from over 100 schools.
