Connections Planet is a local news and information web site.  The site contains a 15 page section for every residential zip code in the United States.

Members of the community are recruited to manager their zip codes section of the site.  

The site has grown from 8,000 page views per month a year ago to over 275,000 for August 2009.

Each zip code manager is encouraged to match their site to their and their communities personalities.  

Connections Planet develops training and promotional materials for the ZCM's to use - at no cost to the ZCM's.

There is no cost for a person to become a ZCM other than any costs they choose in setting up their own business.  Many startup costs can be bartered for ad space on the site.  For example, a ZCM can trade the cost of printing business cards for running an ad for a few months at no charge.
