The Prem Organic Cooking and Farming Academy is an educational farming and cooking program located on the campus of Prem Tinsulanonda International School.

Hands-on classes on farming, cooking, and Thai culture offer Prem students, visiting schools, professional chefs, international families and adult travelers to Thailand a chance to experience the beauty of food and the pleasure of cooking and eating in Thailand.

Through seasonal planting, harvesting, cooking, and eating foods grown from our organic farm, participants rekindle the experience of good health and joy of living.

Founded by chef and author Su-Mei Yu, the Academy combines the tastes, techniques, and traditions of Thai home cooking and farming. Classes provide cultural notes, medicinal antidotes and cooking lore, drawing from our instructors’ traditional Thai upbringing.

This experience fosters a better understanding of how the natural world sustains us, while conveying the essential belief and philosophy of the Thai people, that nature’s way exudes pleasure, provides health and wellbeing, stimulates the senses, and embodies sustainability.
