We started a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting rural Costa Rican schools by repairing, building and furnishing safe classrooms. We also provide wheelchairs to those in need of mobility. We have currently imported, assembled, and delivered over 8000 wheelchairs throughout the country from 2006 to 2009. This has been accomplished by working closely with local municipalities, churches, the Red Cross, Lion’s Club and health departments in local communities. The Do it Center Foundation plans include importing and giving away 3300 additional wheelchairs in 2010 as well as building 2 new schools.
