Community Partnership School is the newest model in urban education reform in Philadelphia. Founded through a partnership between a high-quality independent school, Germantown Academy, and a top-notch human resources agency, Project HOME, Community Partnership School was created to address ending homelessness through education. Based on a strong commitment from parents, volunteers, community-based organizations, and neighbors, CPS provides a high-quality PK-5 educational option for families who live in the poorest zip codes in Philadelphia (19121 and 19132). Ninety-five percent of the funding for this private school comes through donations, while the remaining 5% is raised through tuition payments from families.
