About

Climate & People Welfare Council (CPWC) — also known as Jalvayu Evam Jankalyan Parishad — is working towards the integration of climate consciousness and human welfare. Headquartered in New Delhi, CPWC operates through a structured network of councils across village, district, state, and national levels, ensuring that climate action and social welfare become part of everyday community life.

The Council focuses on research, policy advocacy, and grassroots implementation in areas related to climate adaptation, environmental protection, sustainable livelihoods, and people’s empowerment. CPWC works closely with academic institutions, government bodies, private enterprises, and civil society organizations to promote solutions that are locally relevant and socially inclusive.

Guided by the principle that “climate welfare is people’s welfare,” CPWC drives initiatives that combine environmental awareness with community development — including capacity-building programs, sustainable livelihood projects, and youth engagement campaigns. Through strategic partnerships, technology integration, and collaborative leadership, the Council aims to build a resilient and sustainable future for both rural and urban India.

CPWC is also registered with NITI Aayog. The organisation continues to strengthen its presence across India through councils, academic collaborations, and advocacy initiatives focused on sustainable growth, inclusivity, and climate responsibility.
