Conveniently located right off of I-94 (exit 234B) in Clinton Township, MI. Our address is 35320 Forton Court which is off the north side of 15 Mile Rd, between Harper and Gratiot.

Fully padded with a permanent rolled rubber flooring and unobstructed, we have over 7,000 sq ft set up for all types of dog training and sports!

We offer a variety of courses in obedience training and dog sports. Included are: Puppy, Basic, Advanced, Expert, Competition Levels, S.T.A.R. Puppy Test, Canine Good Citizen Test, Temperament Testing, Agility, Flygility, Flyball, Rally, Treibball, Confirmation, Boot Camp, Private Lessons, House Calls, Behavior Modification, Aggression Control & Management, plus so much more.

Dog Zone is also active in helping local 4H clubs succeed and train with their dogs. Offering speaking engagements on what children should do when confronted with an aggressive dog and helping to overcome a fear of dogs. We encourage children to get active with their dogs, take classes together and go the extra step to compete with their furry friend.

We help local dog rescue groups by offering to train rescues that will help them become more adoptable. We also offer discounts to newly rescued dogs for obedience classes that will help them fit in more quickly to their new forever homes.

Dog Zone is also active in the CHU and C-Wags dog sports competitions with the emphasis on teamwork, traditional and rally obedience where the handler is allowed to interact with their dog in a more natural manner.

We are also the home of Ruff Troops Training Club! Ruff Troops is a 30-level program with classes for owners and pets, including dog training in agility, biking, camping and hiking. It's like boy scouts for dogs. We encourage family participation.

Donna J. Zaj, owner of Dog Zone, is recommended by local Animal Control officers to help owners in danger of losing their pets due to ordinances. She has helped to re-home abused, abandoned, injured and lost dogs. Her unique approach includes a system that she has developed through years of research and personal experience, believinging in positive reinforcement as a humane training method. She has over thirty years’ experience in aggression control and management and also provides the court system with temperament testing as needed.
