About

DPRx was founded in 1987. The first server based PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) server was developed and implemented in 1988 for FHP PPO in California. The software was called TeleCLAIM and it was the original Online, Real-time processor of  NCPDP standardized format for drug prescription authorizations submitted by Drug Store POS transmissions.
Subsequently the TeleCLAIM system was enhanced with expanded cost containment features that led to over 12 installations in the USA. These users were PPOs, PBMs and Drug Chains.
In the late 1990s DPRx installed system in Argentina, Chile and Dominican Republic. These installations were unique in that they were implemented on the Internet by utilizing popular Browser based data entry technology.
DPRx engineers retrofitted the TeleCLAIM++ system in 2008 to accommodate CPT10 and ICD9 Procedure databases to process prescriptions for medical procedures submitted by licensed Physicians of procedures and associated collateral diagnostic data as well as laboratory and eyecare providers.
In 2013 the more tailored version of its eMEDICOS system was released as the PRO/3G Authorizations processor for implementation in 2013 using enhanced and customized versions of CPT10 and ICD9/10 databases.
