He received his BS in Biology from S.U.N.Y at Albany, his DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.  He received his medical degree (MD) from the New Jersey Medical, now Rutgers School of Medicine.  He received his surgical training at The University Hospital, UMDNJ Rutgers in Newark NJ. He also received training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC, Hackensack University Medical Center, East Orange VA Medical Center.
Dr Dorfman is Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, he is a Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr Dorfman is Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Midwestern University Dental Institute, Adjuct Clinical Faculty at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center Integrated Residency Program.
