What if a student really wanted to learn math? Is there a place to go on-line where they are not "passive" watching videos, but can learn math in an active Socratic method?
EduCAD-ST is that tool.
We have wrapped the tool in CETP a way to help a student adapt the tool to meet their needs. CETP uses the Official ACT and SAT practice tests to adapt a matrix of over 400 different problem types based on concepts into just those concepts and problem types that a student needs to focus on. Then the student can use the patented Socratic tutor (EduCAD-ST) to serve up thousands of unique dynamically created problems of the problem type that they are working on.
Using a "show next step" they can enter into a Socratic dialog with the application that actually teaches them how to solve the problem type, explaining the concepts and providing strategies using the dynamically generated problem that they are working on.
CETP is the wrapper that permits the student to know what problem types and concepts from the over 400 they should be focusing on. It allows the tool to adapt to meet the students needs.
The product has been made available in three modes.
collegeentrancetestprep.com - a full purchase product available to anyone
hscetp.com - a portal developed for US based High Schools. The portal allows a participating High School to make either the ACT or SAT available to their students at no charge. There is a charge for an upgrade to both books, but even that is deeply discounted.
milcetp.com - a portal for US Military. The portal allows anyone with an active .mil e-mail address to create a code associated to that address that can be used to register for free. There is no charge for the product when a student registers via milcetp.com and they have access to the full and complete product.
Both HSCETP and MILCETP are provided for discount (or free) to students because they have been sponsored by companies that want to ensure that these products are in the hands of students no mater what the students economic conditions may be.
