Elliott Broidy has more than 30 years experience in financial management, having held executive positions at Bell Enterprises and Markstone Capital. In 1991 he founded Broidy Capital Management, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm. He is Broidy Capital’s chief executive officer.

Broidy has sat on innumerable corporate boards, including those of Event Solutions International (ESI Holdings), Foley Timber and Land Company and Vantis Capital Management.

Broidy’s investment and business experience has informed his numerous philanthropic endeavors. He supports several organizations that work to help U.S. military members and veterans, including the Medal of Honor Foundation and the Wounded Warriors Project. He also recently founded Hounds for Heroes, which provides specially trained service dogs to returning active-duty veterans.

Considered one of L.A.’s most active philanthropists, along with his wife Robin, Broidy has held board positions at numerous charitable and educational organizations, including Aviva, the California-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the Everychild Foundation, Hebrew Union College, the Los Angeles Police Foundation, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, TOMCAR, the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and Wilshire Boulevard Temple.

In addition, Broidy has served on the United States Homeland Security Advisory Council (appointed by Secretary Michael Chertoff) and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In 2008, Broidy joined the ranks of H. Ross Perot, Miep Gies and Elizabeth Dole when he was recognized by the Raoul Wallenberg Award Committee of the United States for his work in Israel. The prestigious Raoul Wallenberg Award is named after the soldier who saved the lives of more than 100,000 people while serving the U.S. War Refugee Board in Hungary during World War II.
