Emma's Education Center is a continuing education and LIFE skills training center for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have aged out or graduated from public school special education.

The Center is open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday in Garland, Texas. The core program is academically based from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and includes five outclasses in art, PE, music and movement, computers and horticulture. The Center is a transition unit that allows students graduating from public school a second opportunity to be prepared for the outside community, the work force, or for independent living.

The Center accepts all adults, ages 18 and up who have an intellectual, developmental or Autism diagnosis as the primary diagnosis and do not have consistent dangerously aggressive behavior.  The Center also accepts for admission those students who are in their last year of public school education on an after-school basis.

Instructors are Texas certified in secondary special education and are assisted by special education paraprofessionals. Classrooms are small providing better ratios for learning.  Staff practices the Walt Disney Company Institute philosophy of quality management and customer service.

The organization has been in business for years and has just launched their first physical site in Garland, TX.
