The EM578, simply put, is a street legal race car. Designed to capture the bygone era of the LeMans and Can-Am greats, the EM578 brings the feeling of all out endurance racing to your garage! Now, you can go for a drive and feel like you're on the Mulsane straight! The EM578 is a 2 seat, mid engined, nimble, exhilarating sports car. Once you climb into the driver's seat you're met with a new and exiting driving experience. Press the engine start button, and just behind you the car roars to life. Designed to accept a standard Chevrolet small block V8 engine coupled to a Porsche 930/4 transaxle, the horsepower is only limited by your imagination!
Available as a completed rolling chassis, the EM578's standard equipment includes a hand laid fiberglass body finished with DuPont Chromabase basecoat / clearcoat paint system, 4 wheel unequal length double wishbone suspension, 4 wheel vented disc brakes, twin brake master cylinders with adjustable bias, a complete hydraulic clutch system, Carrera adjustable coilover shock absorbers, Porsche 930 CV joints with Empi racing axles, 1 1/2" diameter adjustable sway bars, rack and pinion steering with a tiltable column, a fully upholstered interior with VDO instruments installed, a 15.5 gallon safety fuel cell with twin monza style filler caps, a full compliment of DOT approved lights with a fully labeled and coded wiring harness, a competition Schoenfeld exhaust header set with Flowmaster muffler and much, much more.
Unlike other "Kit cars", the EM578 is ready to receive your engine and transmission assembly. When we complete your rolling chassis, we actually install our own engine package to test and tune your EM578 thoroughly. Everything nessecary to complete your car is included. All you will have to provide is the engine and transaxle including clutch. If you don't want to install the engine package yourself, we can recommend an installer and assist with this process.
