The presentations this year board subjects like health, nutrition, management, supply of grain and international market of meat, the new requirements of the European Community with regard to animal welfare, waste and food safety. Between the invited speakers for this ninth publication there are Dr. Antônio Mario Penz Junior, teacher of the Zootechny Department of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRS, great specialist in poultry farming that will present the subject “Future of Grain X Biofuel”.

Internationally recognized like a reference in the sector, one of the speakers more expected is the veterinarian Dr. Elinor McCartney - Director of the enterprise Pen & Tec Consulting, which is going to board the Demands of the Common European Market. Elinor McCartney, is PhD in animal Pathology for the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and MBA for the Open University and is on the market more than 20 years in the areas of product development and regulatory issues in Europe.

The opening of the IX Symposium South Brazil of Poultry farming will be held on April 01 in the auditorium of the Lang Palace Hotel, in Chapecó, SC - with a lecture by former minister of Agriculture (1998-1999) and Vice President and Director of Operations of the BRDE, Francisco Turra, who is also a member of the High Council of Agribusiness of the FIESP/IRS, on sceneries of Agribusiness at Global Market.

The technical planning begins in Wednesday 02 of April with the conversation “Global Market of Meat” with Dr. Nilson Olivo, specialist in meat market where it acts there are 28 years.

The second conversation of the day, on physiology of the birds and sanitary aspects there will be presented by Dr. Margie Lee, teacher of the College of Veterinary Medicine of the UGA - University of Georgia - USA, on Intestinal Microbiology; already Dr. Fernanda M. Tucci will board other aspects of the productive chain with the subject “Audit in Factories Feed”; Dr. Michael Czarick, also of the University of Georgia will board the issue of animal welfare with the subject “Ambience: Temperature X Ammonia”; the specialist in chickens of cut Dr. Matthew Wilson Technical Consultant of a multinational will present the latest news about “ Final Management - Calorific Stress”.

In Thursday, 03 of April, the first conversation of the day is with the vet doctor specialist in Veterinary Sciences and Biotechnology Dr. Luis Felipe Caron, teacher of veterinary microbiology and vaccinology at UFPR, which will board the subject  “Capacity of immune answer of Birds – Tracking Strategy”; the medical vet Dr. Laura Yaneth Villarreal Buitrago, formed by the De La Salle University in Bogota, Colombia, specialist in avian pathology will present the last technologies in Virology and Pathology Influenza: Infectious bronchitis, avian Pneumovirus and enteric viruses, Microbiology – Virology, Molecular Genetics and Preventive Veterinary Medicine in the area of Animal Health in Sanitary Programs. Laura Villarreal, researcher associated to a Coronavirus Research Group of the USP will present the conversation “Impact of different pathotypes of infectious bronchitis virus circulating in Brazil”, closing the programming focused on the health issue Salmonella. After, vaccines will be presented by Dr. Lilliane Revoledo. In the planning on nutrition Dr. Gustavo J. M. M. De Lima,  researcher of the Embrapa will present the conversation “Quality of Grain in Poultry”. The veterinarian Dr. Sebastian Aparecido Borges, specialized in monogastric nutrition and director of the BSA Advisory Agroindustrial will present the conversation “Use of Electrolytes for Birds - From theory to practice”; next Dr. Sadi Marcolin, veterinarian and coordinator of the Committee of Health Poultry raiser of the Santa Catarina’s Agribusiness will speak about reuse of bed.
