Kevin O'Keefe is Excela's Managing Director and has over 25 years experience as a solicitor & senior corporate manager - more than half of which has been spent in Local Government.
Kevin led the legal department at Unitary Authority for over a decade, acting as Deputy Monitoring Officer & winning several nationally recognized awards. He has been listed in the "Legal 500" publication of the UK's top lawyers.
He is a Member of the Law Society of England & Wales and past Member of the Association of County Secretaries & Solicitors. Kevin is also an accredited Associate Consultant of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE).
Kevin is an accomplished trainer and a leading expert on the use of Social Media by both elected representatives and public sector organisations.
A much sought after public speaker, Kevin provides uniquely interactive Member Development events and senior officer training. Through Excela, Kevin has developed a suite of in-house member development seminars including our immensely popular "Making Social Media Work for Councillors" half-day course.
