ExchangeWise (Pty) Ltd is a specialist software house focusing on the development and marketing of applications and utilities that provide functionality in the core business areas of messaging, collaboration, customer relationship management (CRM) and knowledge management. The company focuses primarily on Microsoft’s technologies and products and for this reason most of the company’s offerings are designed to enhance the functionality of Microsoft Exchange Server and its primary client Outlook, utilizing Microsoft’s enterprise-level relational database, namely SQL Server.
It is from the name of Microsoft’s messaging and collaboration server, namely Microsoft Exchange Server, that the company’s name was derived, especially given that the name “exchange” embodies the concepts of sharing, interaction and collaboration.
ExchangeWise both develops its own software as well as licenses other third-party utilities.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a core focus area for the company. ExchangeWise has been involved in CRM/Contact Management since 1989, and has done over 400 direct CRM implementations with some 7 different products over that time, from low-end Contact Management systems like Act! to top end systems like Siebel. For the last 7 years ExchangeWise has concentrated on developing its own products.
ExchangeWise's key products are MX-Contact (www.mxcontact.com), an Outlook-based CRM and Contact Management system, MX-Contact.NET (www.mxcontact.net), a web-based CRM system that utilises the same SQL database as MX-Contact, and MX-Sync, (www.mxsync.com), an Outlook/Exchange to SQL synchronization utility that dramatically increases productivity and efficiency by making corporate back-end data available to users directly in their Outlook Personal Folders.
