Electronic Medical Records Implemented at The Eye Care Institute
Citing advancing technology and federal incentives, The Eye Care Institute has converted our ophthalmology practice to electronic medical records. Finally, eye care specific software has made electronic charting of medical records a reality said Brennan P Greene, MD, an ophthalmologist at The Eye Care Institute.
Doctors and staff of The Eye Care Institute are now using MedFlow as our software source for all electronic charts at our Louisville offices including The Eye Care Institute, Dry Eye Center of Kentucky and Louisville LASIK Institute.
The federal government strongly encourages medical practices to convert paper medical charts to electronic records to allow for easy communication with other doctors, hospitals and pharmacies. Patients benefit as handwriting legibility errors are removed and all doctors providing care for the patient communicate efficiently.
The Eye Care Institute is proud to embrace this next phase of technology, said Mark Prussian, practice CEO. We always want to be able to offer our patients the best service possible, and this is on extra way of doing so, he continued.
