About |
The Florida Pioneer Festival – Homesteading in the Heartland – is a two-day celebration of traditional skills, sustainable living, and community connection. Hosted November 7–8, 2025 at Pioneer Park in Zolfo Springs, Florida, this event unites homesteaders, families, farmers, educators, artisans, and curious learners for an unforgettable weekend of hands-on experiences and old-fashioned fun.
At its heart, the Florida Pioneer Festival is about keeping heritage alive while embracing modern sustainability. Visitors can explore interactive workshops and live demonstrations covering a wide range of pioneer and homesteading skills: canning and preserving, dairy goats and sheep, beekeeping, soap and candle making, bread baking, food forestry, permaculture, gardening, meat rabbits, blacksmithing, fiber arts, and more. Sessions are designed for all levels—from beginners starting a backyard garden to seasoned homesteaders seeking new techniques.
Keynote Speaker – Joel Salatin
We are proud to welcome world-renowned farmer, author, and regenerative agriculture advocate Joel Salatin as our keynote speaker. Known as “America’s Most Famous Farmer,” Joel will present multiple daily sessions, sharing wisdom on sustainable farming, food freedom, and resilient communities. His engaging, practical, and humorous talks make the festival a destination for homesteaders across Florida and beyond.
Education Passes allow full access to all workshops, keynote sessions, and demonstrations. Attendees may choose a single-day pass or a full weekend pass for the most immersive experience.
